Sleep Cycle for iPhone Picks the Best Time to Wake You Up

What the app does is use the built-in accelerometer to monitor your movement while you sleep. By monitoring your movement, it determines which ‘sleep phase’ you’re in… and in doing this, it picks the best time to wake you up, within a 30 minute window of the alarm time you initially set.

This puts any science project you have been a part of to shame, period. A father and son team, members of the larger Brooklyn Space Program, put together a balloon to travel into space which rose to a height of some 100,000 feet (nearly 19 miles) before coming down.
In the balloon was an HD camera that took a video of the entire trip which lasted more than an hour. An iPhone was also placed in the balloon, and the father and son used its GPS capabilities to later find the balloon which landed 30 miles from where it was launched.

EA Sports MMA has been garnering buzz for quite some time, and to the delight of many MMA fans, the game is finally here. The game will be available on October 21st on both the Xbox 360 and the PS3 along with a version for the iPhone as well. Being given the oppurtunity to test the iPhone version, I can tell you first hand that it was tons of fun to play and pretty hard to put down (which has motivated me to get the PS3 version when its released).
